Welcome to Katy Christmas Lights Installation! We are thrilled to illuminate your holiday season with our lighting lease services. Before proceeding, please review and understand the following terms and conditions, as they define your responsibilities and ours in this seasonal partnership.

1. Services Provided

  • Lighting Lease: Katy Christmas Lights Installation offers a comprehensive seasonal lighting lease that includes installation, maintenance, removal, and storage of Christmas lights and decorations. The lights are our property, and the lease period covers the agreed-upon holiday season only.

2. Lease Agreement Terms

  • Duration: The lease starts from the installation date specified in your contract and continues until removal, which typically takes place in January.
  • Installation: Our skilled team will install your lighting display with careful attention to design and safety, based on the agreed-upon preferences.
  • Maintenance: We provide a “Stay Lit Warranty” covering maintenance throughout the season. If issues arise, such as burnt-out bulbs or wiring problems, we will address them within 24-48 hours of notification.

3. Lighting Removal

  • After the holiday season, we will remove lights and decorations carefully, beginning January 1st and concluding by January 31st. If you would like to extend the display period, please notify us, though additional fees may apply.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • Access and Preparation: To facilitate a smooth installation, please ensure unrestricted access to the site. This includes unlocking gates if the power source is behind a locked area, moving vehicles from the driveway, trimming trees if they will be wrapped, and bringing animals indoors if they might interfere with the installation.
  • Electrical Power: A safe, functioning power source must be available on-site. Any necessary electrical work should be completed before our team arrives.
  • Protection of Equipment: You agree to reasonably care for the leased lights and decorations, preventing avoidable damage from vandalism, severe weather, or negligence.

5. Payment and Charges

  • Lease Fees: Fees are outlined in your quote and are due upon invoicing. The initial 50% deposit secures your installation date, with the balance due after installation. The final payment will be processed within three days of the installation completion.
  • Additional Charges: In cases of damage due to non-compliance with these terms, additional repair or replacement fees may apply.
  • Deposits: Deposits are non-refundable.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Indemnification: Katy Christmas Lights Installation is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses that may occur during installation, maintenance, or removal, except in cases of gross negligence.
  • Assumption of Risk: Clients assume all risks associated with using the leased lights and decorations, and we are not responsible for injuries or damages resulting from use or installation.
  • Roof and Gutter Conditions: We are not responsible for pre-existing issues with roofs or gutters, nor for damage related to weather, such as rain, snow, or wind. Our team will notify you of any observable issues and may document potential problem areas.
  • Hot Glue Applications: When hot glue is applied to brick or stone surfaces, rare cases of brick or stone damage may occur. While we take the utmost care, we assume no liability for such damages.

7. Lift Disclaimer

  • Lift Use: If a lift is required for installation, clients must ensure that the property is free from any hazards that could affect safe operation. Katy Christmas Lights Installation is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages associated with lift usage.

8. Termination and Cancellation

  • Early Termination: Requests for early termination must be submitted in writing for approval by Katy Christmas Lights Installation.
  • Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your scheduling and coverage in our holiday season calendar.

9. Governing Law

  • This agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Katy Christmas Lights Installation is located.

10. Existing Clients with Purchased Lights

  • Grandfathered Clients: Clients with previously purchased lights may add to their displays under the same terms. Replacement items, such as bulbs or clips, may incur additional charges. Animal or vandalism damage to decorations stored on the client’s property is the client’s responsibility.
